Diary of a Divorcee

Month

October 2011

  • Organized and packed for almost two hours
  • My second load of laundry is in the wash
  • I looked through my email and deleted half of them
  • Bought a new OtterBox for my husband, at his request
  • I auditioned for Wheel of Fortune again

Now all I need to do:

  • Get ready
  • Load car
  • Make it through the rest of the day

Confidential to my buddy:

Hi buddy, I received your package in the mail. Well, my husband brought it inside at least. I was going to have him open it… but I wanted to do it in person. I will open it tomorrow and post a picture! Sorry I have been away from home for so long! You’re the best for being so patient! Thanks!!!

Would you circumcise your son?? Just wondering, promise no judgement :)

I have no idea what I would do in this situation.

Really, having a son growing inside of me seems like such a pipe dream right now that I cannot even rationally think about what you are asking.

First, I know I’ll feel different about my future child once it is inside of me.
Secondly, I haven’t read enough on the subject to have an educated opinion.
Third, this is definitely something I would want my husband to weigh in on.

Sorry I don’t have an answer for you, anon…

I will just have to decide when I come to this bridge.

i followed a long time ago & never bought from your store, but i wanted to...where'd it go?

My store is gone, I am very sorry.

When I found out about my infertility, I suspended my etsy store. It just seemed counter productive to my sanity to be making baby items and selling them…

Why are you always apart from your husband?

Anon, you must be new…

My husband is in the military— which means he is always gone on deployments, training and other various trips for work. Sometimes he is gone for weeks at a time. Instead of sitting at home, waiting for him like some depressed puppy dog, I go out and live life to the fullest! Otherwise, I’d never get to go anywhere or do anything.

While he was training away from home this month, I went back up to my hometown and then my family and I went on a two week trip to Fort Worth for the Appy World Show (horses).

It was great, but I’m ready to be home with him…

I would be in my car driving right now if there wasn’t going to be any traffic. But I live in Los Angeles. Traffic on Halooween is awful! I’m going home tomorrow and saving myself two extra hours in the car.

Happy Halloween!

May your day be spooky,
and your bag filled with candy!

I miss my husband so much… I guess he was too busy to call or text last night. Maybe he just didn’t want to wake me up. Still, I can’t help but think about how I get to see him tomorrow afternoon. After I drive five hours, of course. Boy oh boy, I hate the drive. But it’ll be worth it.

Today I have a few things to do:

1. Organize my suitcases and all of my belongings
2. Get gas in my car
3. Load car
4. Visit best friend
5. Pass out candy!
6. Catch up on some of my shows
7. Have fun!

I can’t wait to be home. My husband and I are going to do a 30 day Paleo diet challenge with our gym. Not to mention, I’m going to work out there six days a week. I hope to lose ten pounds by the time Thanksgiving rolls around. Maybe even twenty by Christmas! Twenty five is my goal. I would be skinny mini if I lost it all! I just have to get home!

I’ll be there before I know it…

Have a spooky day, everyone!

After being in Texas for twelve days, I’m finally back in California! We had a lot of fun at the Appaloosa World Show. Also, for having new horse trainers— we did pretty well! Multiple Grand and Reserve trophies were won…

I’m just glad to be back. Before I know it I’ll be reunited with my husband. We will get back into our routine. Everything will go back to normal.

There are a few interesting things I think I should get down. Even though my mind feels like mush from traveling all day. Here they are:

  • I finally am on the real LIST for the military sponsored IVF. I was pending entry before because I needed valid Day 3 blood test results. The doctors needed to know if there were enough “eggs in my henhouse” to even try IVF. My FSH level was 1.8; to be accepted into their clinic, a patient needs less than 12. I have plenty of eggs left, which is wonderful news!
  • I shopped until I dropped! I bought two new purses, an adorable western shirt, two Texas Longhorns shirts, a Longhorn sweatshirt, a crap load of expensive jewelry, fancy jeans, the list goes on and on and on…
  • I can’t wait to sleep with my own pillow. The thought of it is orgasmic right now.
  • Speaking of the Big O, I get to see my husband in less than two days.
  • Flying first class isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be…
  • I’m exhausted.
  • Back to my regular blogging tomorrow.

Today has been a long, long, long day…

I successfully finished everything on my To Do list, plus more.

Of course, I didn’t know that I would have to register myself in TriCare at Travis AFB. I thought I could just go to the hospital, get stuck, then leave. No, no no no, no— it’s never that easy. But thirty minutes of paper pushing later (which is relatively short for the military), I successfully had my labs done. The best part— it only took two sticks and seven vials of blood!

After that, I had a meeting with my boss who swapped me with work.

I got a quick bite to eat and was on my way home to finish up my work.

Print materials usually go fast for me. Except for menus. Those take forever to format! All those little descriptions, all the measurements. Yuck! I need to be paid more to make those.

A little bit of laundry and the last episode of Oz later, and the day is pretty much already over!

I’m excited to go to Fort Worth tomorrow. Yay!

Ugh, let’s just hope this headache goes away….
